Our recovery blend is a one stop shop for prevention of muscle soreness, increased recovery, muscular endurance and more! You can drink during your workout or add two scoops to the unflavored mix to your post workout shake. This blend includes BCAAs, glutamine, and creatine. All three of these ingredients are important for several reasons.

BCAAs are the building blocks of protein that are necessary for the growth and repair of muscles and tissues. The amino acids in supplemental BCAA mixes are Leucine, Valine, and Isoleucine. They help prevent post-exercise muscle soreness by hindering exercise-induced muscle damage and helping stimulate growth and repair. There are essential (must obtain from food) and nonessential (produced by body) amino acids. Amino acids from food must first travel to the liver where they are broken down for food or muscle repair. BCAA’s, as a supplement, go around the liver and directly to muscles for building, fueling and repairs.

L-glutamine is the most common amino acid in your muscle consisting of 61% of your skeletal tissue. It assist with protein synthesis, promotes a positive nitrogen balance and prevents the loss of muscle. L-glutamine helps with cell hydration and thus cell volume. Muscles repair faster where cell hydration and volume is higher. It can also enhance the levels of HGH in the body that is already occurring naturally. HGH accelerates your metabolism, which means for a more efficient processing of foods in your stomach. This leads to the building of lean mass and reduction of fat. L-glutamine plays a huge part in the stomach and intestines with digestion. Not only does it help athletes recover, it is also used to help with diverticulitis and other diseases.

Creatine naturally occurs in the body and is produced from amino acids. It promotes muscular endurance, strength, and power. Creatine helps muscles look fuller because it draws water to the muscle cells. It also acts as a lactic acid buffer (you know, that post exercise burn). Studies have also shows that creatine helps enhance brain function.

For these reason, this recovery blend is one of the best supplements to add to your workout regime. You can add the unflavored powder to any drink or shake or you can choose from one of our flavors to drink separately.

    I’ve had orange and unflavored. With the orange I like having it just with water most times because it tastes good and it’s another great forcing opportunity for me to drink more water separate than my protein shake. However, for convenience, I do also frequently prep the unflavored with any of the protein whey flavors. Orange recovery + Cake Batter or Vanilla whey is quite delicious as well for those that want to be fancy 🙂
    Orange + chocolate is doable and will not make you regret your decision I do it every once in a while too. I frequently have flavored and unflavored in my house to mix things up.
